Quick Trip to Phoenix!

My mom had a few days off work and Kasey is in between jobs so we thought it was the perfect time to run down to Phoenix and visit some family. My grandparents moved down there in November making it their permanent residence. It's weird not having them 30 mins away in Mesquite but they moved into a really nice place and they seem to be enjoying it. My aunt Lynette and uncle Sean also live down there along with a few cousins! It was a very short trip with a relatively long drive but all in all it was so wonderful to see everyone and for Claire to be with her "Greats" for a while! She was a little shy at first but she warmed up quick and loved giving constant hugs to everyone! The weather was impeccable I didn't want to leave! It made me really excited for it to warm up. My aunts yard used to be an orchard so it was filled with orange and grapefruit trees! Talk about paradise, we ate a ton there and brought a bunch home with us! Well I must say the aging process is a hard thing to see happen to those you love but I am so grateful for the wonderful example of love, strength, and perseverance that my grandma and grandpa Middleton have shown me year after year. It was such a joy to be able to visit them and fill of the love they have for their family. Now I didn't get one picture of my grandma which makes me very sad but I have one moment that I took a mental picture of, while we were walking down to the lunch hall and Claire took ahold of my grandmas hand and they walked together all the way there. It was the sweetest thing!

My grandpa took us to a really cool train museum which was perfect because Claire is really into trains right now and she had such a good time!
