We had gone up to Enterprise Resvior on Saturday night to fish and swim and had such a good time we decided to head back up Sunday to camp. It was Labor Day weekend but it wasn’t too busy! After church we loaded up and found a great camp site. The kids loved climbing on all the rocks that were around and we had gotten walkie talkies so they played forever while we set up camp. We decided to go down to the lake again and we had a great time playing in the water until it got dark. We went back to camp and cooked hot dogs over the fire and roasted marshmallows! We only have a six person tent but we through some mats in there and all squished in! We also do not have sleeping bags so we just grabbed a bunch of blankets but it got cold! It was a rough night but all the kids actually slept pretty good! Did I mention we brought jynx with us?! He did great and it was fun to have him there! Monday morning we played by the campsites doing lots of climbing and exploring! My nerves get pretty shot trying to manage letting the kids so dangerous things carefully but they had a blast! We decided to head back to the lake because we heard you could cliff jump somewhere and my family is full of dare devils. We had to hike over to the spot and the kids too turns jumping on a lower rock, of course Austin joined the fun because he is wild! The older kids got up on a big cement block and Claire jumped off that one like 5 times! It took Whitney and Tyler a bit to get the courage but they eventually jumped off! When they were climbing back up a HUGE rock fell down towards them and Whitney tried to dodge it but it scraped her arm, when it hit the ground it bounce and went right over Tyler’s head. They were both very fortunate not to have gotten really hurt! We were definitely thanking God for their safety. That wrapped up our camping trip which all in all was fun! We need a two night minimum from now on because it’s way too much work for one night!
when we got home and unpacked Matt and I went on a mini date because he had a work trip coming up and would be gone for a week. We went to dinner, took a drive, got snow cones and headed home!
Tuesday was Austin’s first day of preschool! He was so excited and said he had a great time and made lots of friends. I had a headache that started Monday night and turned into a full blown migraine. I was so dizzy and nauseous that I had to cancel my lives classes (I am teaching Algebra at an online private school). And I spent the rest of the day in bed. Thank heavens for family because Debi was able to pick all the kids up from school and watch them until dinner time. Matt had left that morning to Colorado and Heidi (who has been a huge help/lots of fun since moved here) went to Idaho, but luckily my kids are pretty good at doing a lot for themselves and the olders help the younger when needed! Wed, Thursday, Friday kind of all the regular routine type of days. Friday Debi did take Austin for me so I could get caught up on some work and they always have a good time!
Saturday morning Tyler wanted to go to the volcano. We let Claire sleep and I took the younger to go hike/play around. They had a good time and got all hot and sweaty and wanted to go swim! Debi had a friend with a pool so we headed into town to cool off a bit. The kids have decided it’s tradition to get swig when we swim. I have cut caffeine out of my diet (mostly) and it has been so good for my headaches (until this week) but it’s nice not to have the dependence of caffeine. We spent the rest of Saturday cleaning and watching shows with a final get your wiggles out at the school! We missed Matt and Heidi this week and are excited for them ti come home!
I forgot to mention that on Wednesday my dear friend Jess ended up needing to take her husband who is battling cancer to the ER. It has been so hard to be so far away and feel so helpless so I have been praying a lot for their whole family during this difficult time.

also it was my parents 44th wedding anniversary this week!
