It’s been a wonderful week and although I wish I would have written daily the week recap will have to do! We started back into school Monday we got the kids new math curriculum and it has been so much fun. Debi sent us a beautiful star garland with a place to put daily activities. Tuesday we had the kids do a scavenger hunt and they found a new elf, the kids named her FiFi. Claire planned a December 1 party in the evening where we danced to Christmas music, sat on “Santa‘s” (Matt’s) lap, baked chocolate chip cookies and took pictures with the elf’s. She threw  it together right before bed and it ended up being pretty fun! I think we will make it a tradition!  I went and played volleyball at the church and it was a lot of fun! It was a great work out and made me realize how old I am getting. Wednesday the kids wrote letters to Santa and had hot cocoa! A random dog showed up at our house and Bella scared it away a few times but it kept coming back we finally got it to get used to us and gave it some food and water the kids name to Hachi. We are working with a lady to get him to a rescue. We dropped Claire off at primary activities in the evening and drove around a neighborhood near the church to look at Christmas lights we drove past one of my old friends house who are used to babysit for I didn’t realize that she still owned the house and she was there! she has turned the house into an exercise studio so we popped in and surprise her! It was so good to see her we ended up driving to her house to see her kids who were just little itty-bitty when I babysat them (almost ten years ago). It was so good to catch up with them. Thursday we did a mini scavenger hunt and ended up under the Christmas tree. The kids opened their Christmas pajamas! We decided to give them to the kids earlier instead of opening them Christmas Eve so that they can wear them throughout the whole month. They were so excited and have been wearing them nonstop! In the evening we had a sitter come over so we could go out on a date. We went and got habatchi and sushi it was very good! Then we went and did some Christmas shopping we are pretty much done getting presents for the kids. It was very nice to get out of the house alone together! Friday was matts first day back at work and the kids’ surprise was elf on the shelf cereal, the real sugary, not good for you type but delicious. we did school and we made a birthday video for Heidi because it is her birthday today and we just love her so much! She is the kids favorite person and we can’t wait to see her in a few weeks! Saturday the kids woke up to find the elf’s having a snowball fight with these plush indoor snowballs and we took part in the fun! it was a blast! we did refit with friends which is my most favorite thing! My awesome friend Aimee teaches the class and it is always so good! Matt packed up and headed to Burnet ,Texas to do a spartan race with his friend Dan they had a terrible time LOL but a good time also ! it sounded extremely exhausting from how he described it!
